Rayentray Puerto Pirámides
The Hotel project has been conceived giving priority to efficiency in the use of energy resources, both water, electricity and effluent treatment. A significant investment has been made to minimize dependence on them.
Regarding electrical energy, a solar park with a power of almost 17 kW has been installed on the roof, with synchronization equipment for injection into the highly efficient Pirámides electrical network, which will supply between 30 and 70% (depending on the solar radiation of the year) of the energy consumption of the facilities when they are fully operational and the rest will be delivered to the Pirámides network. This system was enabled on 12/22/2023.
The establishment is still under construction with minimal consumption, generating energy surpluses that are injected into the pyramid network for free.
At this moment (14 days) that contribution to the community is almost 2,000 kwh. If we consider that an efficient home consumes between 300 and 400 kwh per month, we have provided the monthly electricity consumption of almost 5 homes.
Likewise, we are collaborating with the decarbonization of the atmosphere, having avoided generating 1,400 kg of CO2 (greenhouse gases) with that amount of energy. (Conversion using the “epa” equivalence table of the US Environmental Protection Agency).
Likewise, the transportation of that energy from Puerto Madryn has been avoided, decompressing, although to a small extent, the energy load of the line.
It should be noted that the entire equipment has all the environmental authorizations and complies with all the provisions that the National Distributed Generation Law imposes, regarding quality and safety of consumption and linked networks.
The entire installation was designed, its assembly supervised and commissioning carried out by an Installer Qualified by the National Energy Secretariat.
Solar energy system - Connected to RED (On Grid), with thermal backup.
Surface area of photovoltaic panels 100 net meters.
Power 16 KWp.
The inclination angle was calculated to obtain the greatest use of solar irradiance in the months of greatest energy demand of the facilities.
Estimated annual generation 31,000 Kwh.
Satisfies 30% of general demand annually.
100% of the energy generated is for self-consumption.
It will help the fight against climate change with an estimated reduction of 6.5 tn/year of Co2. (equivalent to 2,780 liters of gasoline; or 7.8 hectares of trees that are avoided cutting.) (source EPA; US Environmental Protection Agency).
